BEFORE YOU REGISTER:
Before you apply at any of the institutions, I recommend you to do the following:
RESEARCH ON THE ONLINE INSTITUTION YOU WISH TO JOIN.
It is very good if you do a little bit of research on the institution you wish to join and find out more about them, not only from their official website, but also check other sources for information regarding them.I am telling you this, because there are certain mills out there only wanting to rob your money.
It is also good to go for accredited institutions when it comes to certain degrees like computer science and Business degrees.Its not necessary for all the courses.It depends on the kind of the degree course that you are wanting.
Like I told you before it is also good if you evaluate yourself and find the way you learn,your study habits, areas of interests and strengths.....etc. before you apply.
Make sure that you meet all the technical requirements that the Institution demands before applying for admission to a particular degree course.
AT THE JOB INTERVIEW:
Make sure you tell the interviewer (Even if She/He is hesitant) that you got your degree online.
Also make clear how you worked it into your busy schedule and bagged yourself a degree,while balancing your job or rearing your children, as this shows your self motivation (a perfect eg) and your ability of multitasking.These are two of qualities the company will be looking for in a candidate.
Since you have cross checked your institution's credentials, you ought to be fully able to counter any question that arises about the validity of your degree (If any arises that is).
It is very important to develop people skills and soft skills, whether an online degree student or not, as these skills are as important, as your academic qualifications.
